New CEO for the chamber of commerce
We are pleased to announce that starting on September 7th, we will have a new President and CEO for the Foster City Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Chris Messina comes to our chamber with a wealth of experience as a former business owner and as an executive in the non-profit/chamber of commerce field. Look for more information in our upcoming newsletter.

THE PENINSULA FAMILY YMCA IS HAVING A RIB FEST AND CHILI COOK OFF ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25TH FROM 6-9PM.
The cost is $25 for adults and $45 for a couple. Sponsorship tables of 10 are $275. Proceeds will go to underserved youth in our community. The first 10 who sign up for the chili cook off will make chili for 30 people. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be awarded. Dancing and music by “The Thrill Seekers”. WHAT’S NEW THIS WEEK AT FOSTER CITY TV
“Green Footprint”, a fresh and practical Foster City TV original production, features eco-trends to help consumers recognize and understand a variety of environmental and sustainability efforts, so they can make informed choices for themselves and their home. Acting as a change agent for healthier habits, this home-grown show promotes and encourages more simple and conscious living. Each episode will focus on green alternatives to minimize negative environmental effects, and offer sustainable solutions to get there. The premiere of the "Green Footprint" show took place during a free symposium for homeowners titled "Creating Energy Smart Homes", focusing on Home Performance. The successful event was presented by Foster City’s Environmental Sustainability Task Force, lead by Joanne Bohigian, Chair of Education and Outreach. The Crowne Plaza Hotel’s Columbus/Drake banquet room was filled to capacity with Foster City residents, neighboring community residents, as well as local officials during the August 11th presentation.
