Members of the public who would like to help shape Foster City's future are encouraged to come to a community focus group on Saturday, November 6th at 10 AM in the Spray Room of the Foster City Recreation Center. Participation is free but interested parties are asked to RSVP.
Foster City is in the process of updating its General Plan. The General Plan outlines how the citizens of Foster City view their community, how they want it to be in the future and how they intend to deal with planning and development issues facing the community so that Foster City becomes the place that they envision it to be.
Participants will be guided in a discussion of general topics of interest to Foster City residents. No advance preparation is required, but participants are encouraged to come with their thoughts on Foster City's development future.
This is one of a series of focus groups that are being conducted with a range of community groups so the City can develop the General Plan encompassing a wide range of stakeholders' views of near- and long-term Foster City planning issues.

The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Nationwide, only 1 in 70 (1.4%) 2010 Award recipients qualified as Two-Time Award Winners. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category.
