Seminar- Financial Strategies for Employees in Transition

Thursday, February 18 2010, 5:00pm - 7:00pm FREE, Open to the public

Today’s headlines are scary. Government bailouts of insurance and mortgage giants, as well as the big three automakers, are all over the news. Companies having to close their doors or layoff their valued employees seems to be a daily occurrence. The stock market has had a dramatic effect on the retirement accounts of baby boomers. This class will review three key areas where employees in transition – whether retiring or recently laid off – can take action upon:

  • Retirement plan options when leaving an employer;
  • Account withdrawal strategies for easing the market pain once in retirement; and
  • Provisions of the stimulus package.
